Winter
Whale Watching Package

The gray whale migration season is a favorite time of
year on the Central Coast. Each winter, hundreds of
whales pass through the Monterey Bay on their way to
warmer waters. Guests at Santa Cruz's Pleasure Point
Inn this year can witness nature's biggest creatures
with the Whale Watching Getaway package. After cruising
the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, visitors
will find luxurious comfort in the upscale four-room
Mediterranean-style inn overlooking the ocean.
The Whale Watching Getaway package is based on double
occupancy and includes two nights' accommodations, two
tickets for a Monterey Bay whale watching cruise with
locally-owned and operated Sanctuary Cruises, and an
expanded continental breakfast each morning. Whale Watching
Getaway packages are priced from $227 per night, plus
tax, Sunday - Thursday. Weekend stays are priced from
$249 per night, plus tax. Sanctuary Cruises is located
in Moss Landing, approximately 30 minutes from Pleasure
Point Inn. Cruises depart at 10:30am, Tuesday - Sunday,
and are subject to cancellation due to poor weather
conditions. Cruises are three - five hours, averaging
four - five hours. Sanctuary Cruises operates two Coast
Guard-approved vessels, including the only power catamaran
on the Central Coast, Princess of Whales. Sanctuary
Cruises' captains are Coast Guard-licensed vessel masters.
Food and drinks are served on board.
