The Santa
Cruz Mountains has been recognized as a premium wine-producing region
since the late 1800s when local winegrowers first began to win acclaim
for their wines in national and international competitions.There are nearly
50 small wineries in the region and a number of them are within 12 miles
of the Pleasure Point Inn. Many wineries welcome visitors to bring a picnic
lunch to enjoy on their scenic grounds.
